MAKE YOUR PLEDGE – BE A MATE, SPONSOR OR PATRON

Now that we own the property the first step is to restore this heritage listed icon site with the long term aim of ensuring that it remains a sustainable community asset into the future.

That will mean a fundraising and grant writing to raise the funds required.  Your help would be greatly appreciate and you can donate here or volunteer your time and expertise here.

MATES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

img_6048The first public viewing of the Milang Lakeside Butter Factory was held as part of the Milang Old School House Community Centre’s 13th Birthday on Sat 1st October.  Owners of the Factory and Managers Cottage, the Milang and District Community Association was pleased to welcome Rebekha Sharkie, Member for Mayo and Adrian Pederick, Member for Hammond as well as a large group of community members to stroll through the Butter Factory viewing the heritage features of the 123 year old factory and the 100 year old cottage.  Purchasing the building with the support of a grant from Alexandrina Council is just the first step towards restoring this heritage listed  icon site.  We are looking for community support to fund the much needed structural work to return the buildings to their former glory.  To pledge your support and become a mate of the Butter Factory click here
